It is narrated about Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid, may Allah be pleased with him, that he set out with the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, on the occasion of the Battle of Hunayn. He was the commander of the cavalry of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Ibn Azhar narrates: I saw the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: Who will inform me about the residence of Khalid bin Walid? Ibn Azhar says: So I set out, walking ahead of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words:) or I ran ahead. At that time, I was near puberty. I said: Who will guide us to the residence of Khalid bin Walid? Until we were guided to his residence, and he was sitting there, leaning against the back of his saddle. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to him and examined his wound. Zuhri narrates: I think these words are also in the narration, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, applied his saliva to the wound (or blew on it or performed ruqyah).
