Hadith 7078

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ الضَّرِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَيْحَ ابْنِ سُمَيَّةَ ، تَقْتُلُهُ الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ ، يَدْعُوهُمْ إِِلَى الْجَنَّةِ ، وَيَدْعُونَهُ إِِلَى النَّارِ " ، قَالَ ابْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ : فَحَدَّثْتُ بِهِ أَبَا دَاوُدَ ، فَدَلَّسَهُ عَنِّي .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Woe to the son of Sumayyah (i.e., ‘Ammar bin Yasir), whom a rebellious group will kill. He will call them towards Paradise, and they will call him towards Hell.” The narrator named Ibn Minhal states: I narrated this hadith to Abu Dawud, so he transmitted this narration from me (with tadlis).
