Hadith 7065

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ ، عَنْ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اقْرَأْ عَلَيَّ سُورَةَ النِّسَاءِ ، فَقَرَأْتُ حَتَّى بَلَغْتُ : فَكَيْفَ إِذَا جِئْنَا مِنْ كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ بِشَهِيدٍ وَجِئْنَا بِكَ عَلَى هَؤُلاءِ شَهِيدًا سورة النساء آية 41 ، قَالَ : إِِمَّا غَمَزَنِي وَإِِمَّا الْتَفَتُّ ، فَإِِذَا عَيْنَاهُ تَسِيلانِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: Recite Surah An-Nisa’ to me. I began reciting, and when I reached the verse: “Then how will it be when We bring from every nation a witness, and We bring you as a witness over these?” Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) nudged me, and when I paid attention, I saw tears flowing from the eyes of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
