أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سُهَيْلِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُجَهِّزُ بَعْثًا فِي مَوْضِعِ سُوقِ النَّخَّاسِينَ الْيَوْمَ ، إِِذْ طَلَعَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْعَبَّاسُ عَمُّ نَبِيِّكُمْ ، أَجْوَدُ قُرَيْشٍ كَفًّا وَأَوْصَلُهَا " .
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was preparing to send an expedition towards the place where nowadays is the market of Nakhasin. During this, Sayyiduna Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Abbas! Who is your Prophet’s uncle, is the most generous among the Quraysh and the one who maintains the ties of kinship the most.”
