Hadith 7043

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : فَرَضَ عُمَرُ لأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا فَرَضَ لِي ، فَقُلْتُ : إِِنَّمَا هِجْرَتِي وَهِجْرَةُ أُسَامَةَ وَاحِدَةٌ ، قَالَ : " إِِنَّ أَبَاهُ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَبِيكَ ، وَإِِنَّهُ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْكَ " ، وَإِِنَّمَا هَاجَرَ بِكَ أَبَوَاكَ .
Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) fixed a payment for Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with them both) greater than mine, so I said: My migration and Usama’s migration happened together. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: His father was more beloved to the Prophet (peace be upon him) than your father, and he (Usama) was more beloved to the Prophet (peace be upon him) than you. Your parents made you migrate.
