أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِِدْرِيسَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ حُصِينًا ، يَذْكُرُ عَنْ هِلالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ظَالِمٍ الْمَازِنِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَامَ خُطَبَاءُ يَتَنَاوَلُونَ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، وَفِي الدَّارِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي ، وَقَالَ : أَلا تَرَى هَذَا الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي أَرَى ، يَلْعَنُ رَجُلا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى التِّسْعَةِ أَنَّهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَلَوْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى الْعَاشِرِ لَمْ آثَمُ ، فَقُلْتُ : مَنِ التِّسْعَةُ ؟ فَقَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ ، فَقَالَ : " اثْبُتْ حِرَاءُ ، فَإِِنَّ عَلَيْكَ نَبِيًّا ، وَصَدِّيقًا ، وَشَهِيدًا " ، قُلْتُ : مَنْ هُمْ ؟ قالَ : " رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرُ ، وَعُثْمَانُ ، وَعَلِيٌّ ، وَطَلْحَةُ ، وَالزُّبَيْرُ ، وَسَعْدٌ ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ ، قُلْتُ : مَنِ الْعَاشِرُ ؟ فَتَفَكَّرَ سَاعَةً ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : أَنَا " .
Abdullah bin Zalim Mazni narrates: The preachers stood up and began to speak disrespectfully about Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Saeed bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) was also present in the house; he took my hand and said: Do you see the person whom I am seeing? He is speaking ill of a person of Paradise. I bear witness about nine people that they are people of Paradise, and if I wish to bear witness about the tenth, I will not be sinful. I asked: Who are those nine people? He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was present on the mountain of Hira. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Hira, remain firm, for upon you is a Prophet, a Siddiq, and a martyr. I asked: Who are those people? He replied: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Talha (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Saad (bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) (these are the nine people who are people of Paradise). I asked: Who is the tenth person? He thought for a while and then said: It is me.
