أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ سَعْدًا ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " اللَّهُمَّ اسْتَجِبْ لَهُ إِِذَا دَعَاكَ يَعْنِي سَعْدًا " .
Qais narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made a supplication, “O Allah! Whenever he supplicates to You, answer him.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was referring to Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him).
