Hadith 6975

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَدْلَعُ لِسَانَهُ لِلْحُسَيْنِ ، فَيَرَى الصَّبِيُّ حُمْرَةَ لِسَانِهِ ، فَيَهَشُّ إِِلَيْهِ " ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عُيَيْنَةُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ : أَلا أَرَاهُ يَصْنَعُ هَذَا بِهَذَا ، فَوَاللَّهِ إِِنَّهُ لَيَكُونُ لِيَ الْوَلَدُ قَدْ خَرَجَ وَجْهُهُ ، وَمَا قَبَّلْتُهُ قَطُّ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ لا يَرْحَمُ لا يُرْحَمُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to stick out his tongue for Sayyiduna Imam Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) (when he was a child). The child would see the redness of the Prophet’s tongue and he liked it. ‘Uyainah bin Badr said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “Do I not see you doing this with the child? By Allah, I also have children whose faces have appeared, but I have never kissed any of them.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever does not show mercy will not be shown mercy.”
