Mother of the Believers, Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I have not seen anyone who resembled the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) more in speech and conversation than Fatimah. When Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) would come to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he would stand up for her, kiss her, welcome her, take her hand, and seat her in his place. And when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would go to her, she would stand up for him, kiss him, and take his hand. During the illness of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in which he passed away, Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) came to serve him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered something to her, and she began to weep. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered something else to her, and she began to laugh. Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I used to think that this woman had superiority over others (meaning she was more intelligent than others), but she turned out to be just a woman—she was crying one moment and laughing the next. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, I asked her about this. She replied: First, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to me that he was about to pass away, so I wept. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) whispered to me that among his family, I would be the first to join him, so I laughed.
