Hadith 6952

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : قُلْتُ لِفَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : رَأَيْتُكِ أَكْبَبْتِ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ فَبَكَيْتِ ، ثُمَّ أَكْبَبْتِ عَلَيْهِ الثَّانِيَةَ فَضَحِكْتِ ، قَالَتْ : " أَكْبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ ، فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ مَيِّتٌ فَبَكَيْتُ ، ثُمَّ أَكْبَبْتُ عَلَيْهِ الثَّانِيَةَ ، فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنِّي أَوَّلُ أَهْلِهِ لُحُوقًَا بِهِ ، وَأَنِّي سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِِلا مَرْيَمَ بِنْتَ عِمْرَانَ فَضَحِكَتُ " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I said to Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah: I saw you lean towards the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during his illness, and then you began to weep. Then you leaned towards the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) a second time and began to laugh. Lady Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) explained: When I leaned towards him, he (peace and blessings be upon him) told me that he was about to pass away, so I began to weep. Then when I leaned towards him a second time, he (peace and blessings be upon him) told me that among his household, I would be the first to join him, and that I am the leader of all the women of Paradise, except that the case of Lady Maryam bint Imran is different. At this, I laughed.
