Hadith 6945

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ سَجَّادَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : لَمَّا تَزَوَّجَ عَلِيٌّ فَاطِمَةَ ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَعْطِهَا شَيْئًا ، قَالَ : مَا عِنْدِي شَيْءٌ ، قَالَ : فَأَيْنَ دِرْعُكَ الْحُطَمِيَّةُ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) married Sayyida Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Give her something. He replied: I have nothing. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Where is your Hatimiyyah armor?
