Hadith 6926

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ الْمَاجِشُونِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ : " أَنْتَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى " ، قَالَ : فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ سَعْدًا ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ .
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): “Your relation to me is like that of Sayyiduna Harun (peace be upon him) to Sayyiduna Musa (peace be upon him).”
The narrator states: I liked that I should ask Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) about this matter, so I asked him: Did you yourself hear this from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)? He replied: Yes.
