Hadith 6885

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَحَبُّ إِِلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ : عَائِشَةُ ، قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مِنَ الرِّجَالِ ؟ قَالَ : أَبُوهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ مَنْ ؟ قَالَ : ثُمَّ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ " ، ثُمَّ عَدَّ رِجَالا .
Sayyiduna Amr bin Al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Who is the most beloved to you among the people?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Aisha." I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Among the men, who is it?" He said, "Her father, Abu Bakr." I asked, "Then who?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then Umar bin Khattab." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned some other people.
