Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to me and I was crying. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: Why are you crying? Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: O Messenger of Allah! You mentioned the Dajjal. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Do not cry, because if he appears while I am alive, I will stand in your place against him, and if I die, then your Lord is not one-eyed. When that Dajjal appears, Jews will be with him. He will camp at one edge of Madinah Munawwarah. At that time, Madinah Munawwarah will have seven gates, and at each gate there will be two angels appointed. The worst people of Madinah Munawwarah will go out and join him. Then he will depart from there until he reaches the place called "Ludd." There, Sayyiduna Isa ibn Maryam will descend, and he will kill him. Then Sayyiduna Isa (peace be upon him) will remain on the earth for forty years (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) or close to forty years. He will remain as a just ruler, a ruler who judges with justice.
