Hadith 6798

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْخَلِيلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَتْبَعُ الدَّجَّالَ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا مِنْ يَهُودِ أَصْبَهَانَ ، عَلَيْهِمُ الطَّيَالِسَةُ " .
Rabi’ bin Hirash narrates: Once, Sayyiduna Hudhayfah and Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) were together at a place, so Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I know what thing will be with the Dajjal. There will be a river of fire with him and a river of water. What people will think is fire will actually be water, and what people will think is water will actually be fire. Whoever among you encounters such a situation and wants to drink water, let him drink from what appears to him as fire; he will find water.
Sayyiduna Abu Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I also heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying the same.
