أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْفُرَاتُ الْقَزَّازُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الطُّفَيْلِ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أُسَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غُرْفَةٍ وَنَحْنُ تَحْتَهَا ، إِِذَا أَشْرَفَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : مَاذَا تَتَذَاكَرُونَ ؟ قُلْنَا : نَذَكْرُ السَّاعَةَ ، قَالَ : " فَإِِنَّهَا لا تَكُونُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا عَشَرُ آيَاتٍ : طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا ، وَالدَّجَّالُ ، وَالدُّخَانُ ، وَعِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ ، وَالدَّابَّةُ ، وَخُرُوجُ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَشْرِقِ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَغْرِبِ ، وَخَسْفٌ بِجَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ ، وَنَارٌ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ مَوْضِعِ كَذَا ، قَالَ : أَحْسَبُهُ ، قَالَ : تَقِيلُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ قَالُوا ، وَتَنْزِلُ مَعَهُمْ حَيْثُ يَنْزِلُونَ " ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ : وَحَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ رُفَيْعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أُسَيْدٍ ، مِثْلَهُ ، وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The Dajjal will emerge from this direction"—the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated towards the east (while saying this).
(Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah's (may Allah be pleased with him) statement: "The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indicated towards the east"—by this is meant Bahrain, because Bahrain is to the east of Madinah Munawwarah, and the emergence of the Dajjal will also be from these regions, not from Khurasan. The evidence for the correctness of this is: the Dajjal is tied up on an island in the sea, as Tamim Dari has informed regarding this, whereas in Khurasan there is neither a sea nor an island.
