Hadith 6776

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ ذَرِيحٍ بِعُكْبَرَا ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " آخِرُ قَرْيَةٍ فِي الإِِسْلامِ خَرَابًا الْمَدِينَةُ " .
Sayyiduna Salamah bin Nufail Sakuni (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when revelation was being sent down to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: I will not remain among you for long, and you too will not remain for long after me. Soon you will face such a situation in which you will destroy one another, and before the Hour there will be two widespread severe deaths, and after that, for some years, earthquakes will continue to occur.
