أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَوْمًا : أَلا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِحَدِيثٍ لا يُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِهِ أَحَدٌ بَعْدِي سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " لا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ أَوْ مِنْ شَرَائِطِ السَّاعَةِ : أَنْ يُرْفَعَ الْعِلْمُ ، وَيَكْثُرَ الْجَهْلُ ، وَيُشْرَبَ الْخَمْرُ ، وَيَظْهَرَ الزِّنَى ، وَيَقِلَّ الرِّجَالُ ، وَتَكْثُرَ النِّسَاءُ ، حَتَّى يَكُونَ لِخَمْسِينَ امْرَأَةً قَيِّمٌ وَاحِدٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "A time will soon come when a man will go around with gold as charity but will not find anyone who will take that gold from him, and a man will see that there are forty women behind him; this will be due to the scarcity of men and the abundance of women."
