Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "A people will appear among you such that you will consider your prayers insignificant compared to their prayers, your fasts insignificant compared to their fasts, and your deeds insignificant compared to their deeds. They will recite the Qur'an, but it will not go beyond their throats. They will go out of the religion just as an arrow passes through its target. When you look at its fruit, you will see nothing there; when you look at its rear, you will see nothing; when you look at its feathers, you will see nothing. However, regarding its notch (the part called 'fawq'), you will be in doubt (whether something is attached there)."
