Hadith 6717

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ الأَشْعَثِ السِّجِسْتَانِيُّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ ، وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ ، وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ ، وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ " ، قِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيٌّ هُوَ ؟ قَالَ : " الْقَتْلُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "The Hour will not be established until knowledge is taken away, tribulations appear, falsehood becomes widespread, time contracts, (markets) come close together, and killing becomes abundant." It was asked: What is meant by killing? The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Killing."
