Sayyiduna Khabbab narrates: We complained to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about the difficult situation we were facing from the Quraysh. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was at that time sitting in the shade of the Ka'bah, reclining on his cloak. We said: Why do you not pray for help for us? Why do you not supplicate for us? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Among the people before you, a man would be seized. A pit would be dug for him in the ground. Then he would be placed in it, and a saw would be brought and placed on his head, and he would be cut into two halves. Iron combs would be brought and used to rake his flesh and bones, but even this would not turn them away from their religion. By Allah! This matter will surely be completed until a rider will travel from Sana'a to Hadramawt fearing none but Allah, or fearing the wolf for his sheep. But you people are being hasty.
