Hadith 6673

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِِدْرِيسَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : " تُفْتَحُ الْيَمَنُ ، فَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ يَبُسُّونَ ، فَيَتَحَمَّلُونَ بِأَهْلِيهِمْ وَمَنْ أَطَاعَهُمْ ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ ، وَتُفْتَحُ الشَّامُ ، فَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ فَيَبُسُّونَ ، فَيَتَحَمَّلُونَ بِأَهْلِيهِمْ وَمَنْ أَطَاعَهُمْ ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ ، وَتُفْتَحُ الْعِرَاقُ ، فَيَأْتِي قَوْمٌ فَيَبُسُّونَ ، فَيَتَحَمَّلُونَ بِأَهْلِيهِمْ وَمَنْ أَطَاعَهُمْ ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ " ، قَالَ الشَّيْخُ : يَبُسُّونَ : أَيْ يَنْسِلُونَ .
Sayyiduna ‘Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hirah was presented before me in the shape of a dog's teeth. Soon you people will conquer it." A man stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Grant me the daughter of Baqilah as a gift." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "She is yours." The people gave that girl to that man. Then the girl's father came and said: "Will you sell her?" He replied: "Yes." The girl's father asked: "For how much?" I said to him: "You decide whatever you wish." The girl's father said: "For one thousand dirhams." The man said: "Alright." (Later) it was said to that man: "If you had said thirty thousand dirhams (it would have been appropriate)." He said: "Is there any number greater than one thousand?"
