Hadith 6633

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ مُجَاشِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُجَاهِدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي إِِسْمَاعِيلُ السُّدِّيُّ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : " دَخَلَ قَبْرَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَبَّاسُ ، وَعَلِيٌّ ، وَالْفَضْلُ ، وَسَوَّى لَحْدَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ وَهُوَ الَّذِي سَوَّى لُحُودَ الشُّهَدَاءِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When it was the day that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah, on that day everything became illuminated. When the day came in which the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, on that day everything became dark. We had not yet removed our hands from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and were burying him, when during that very time we felt a change in the condition of our hearts.
