أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ أَبِي بَزَّةَ يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، قَالَ : سُئِلَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ : أَخَصَّكُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ ؟ قَالَ : مَا خَصَّنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَيْءٍ لَمْ يُعَمِّمْ بِهِ النَّاسَ كَافَّةً ، إِِلا مَا كَانَ فِي قِرَابِ سَيْفِي هَذَا ، فَأَخْرَجَ صَحِيفَةً مَكْتُوبَةً : " لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ ذَبَحَ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ ، وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ سَرَقَ مَنَارَ الأَرْضِ ، لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ لَعَنَ وَالِدَيْهِ ، لَعَنَ اللَّهِ مَنْ آوَى مُحْدِثًا " ، مَنَارُ الأَرْضِ : عَلامَةٌ بَيْنَ أَرَضِينَ ، قَالَهُ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The last advice of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), which he gave when his breath was constricted in his chest and he was unable to speak clearly, (his last advice at that time) was: Take care of the prayer, take care of the prayer, and fear Allah regarding those under your authority (slaves and maidservants).
