Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The time for prayer had come. Whoever's house was nearby performed ablution (wudu) at his home. Some people remained. A stone vessel containing water was brought to the service of the Prophet ﷺ. There was not even enough water in that vessel to fill a palm. The Prophet ﷺ joined his fingers together and placed them in the bowl, and all the people present performed ablution from it.
(The narrator says:) We asked: How many were they? He replied: They were 80 individuals.
