أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، وَقَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، قَالَ : طَلَبَ بَعْضُ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَضُوءًا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " هَلْ مَعَ أَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ مَاءٌ ؟ " فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ فِي الْمَاءِ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " تَوَضَّئُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ " ، فَرَأَيْتُ الْمَاءَ يَجْرِي مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَتَوضَّئُوا حَتَّى تَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ عِنْدِ آخِرِهِمْ ، قَالَ ثَابِتٌ لأَنَسٍ : كَمْ تُرَاهُمْ ؟ ، قَالَ : نَحْوًا مِنْ سَبْعِينَ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Some companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) searched for water for ablution (but did not find it). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: Does any of you have water? Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand in that water and then said: Begin your ablution with the name of Allah. (The narrator says:) I saw water flowing from between the fingers of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The people performed ablution, until every person present there had performed ablution. Thabit asked Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): How many people were there? Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: About seventy people.
