Hadith 6519

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَسِيرُ عَلَى جَمَلٍ لَهُ قَدْ أَعْيَى ، فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يُسَيِّبَهُ ، قَالَ : فَلَحِقَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَدَعَا لَهُ وَضَرَبَهُ ، فَسَارَ سَيْرًا لَمْ يَسِرْ مِثْلَهُ ، وَقَالَ : " بِعْنِيهِ بِأُوقِيَّةٍ " ، فَقُلْتُ : لا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " بِعْنِيهِ بِأُوقِيَّةٍ " ، فَقُلْتُ : لا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " بِعْنِيهِ بِأُوقِيَّةٍ " ، فَبِعْتُهُ بِأُوقِيَّةٍ ، وَاسْتَثْنَيْتُ حُمْلانَهُ إِِلَى أَهْلِي ، فَلَمَّا بَلَغْتُ أَتَيْتُهُ ، فَقَالَ لِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَتُرَانِي مَاكَسْتُكَ لآخُذَ جَمَلَكَ وَدَرَاهِمَكَ ؟ فَهُمَا لَكَ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Once he was traveling on his camel which had become exhausted. He intended to leave the camel as it was. The narrator says: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) met me, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for the camel. He struck it, and it began to walk so swiftly that it had never walked so fast before. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sell it to me for one uqiyah. I replied: No. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sell it to me for one uqiyah. I replied: No. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sell it to me for one uqiyah, so I sold it to him for one uqiyah. I made the condition in this transaction that I would ride it until I reached my home. When I reached (Madina Munawwara), I presented myself before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: Did you think that I made this transaction with you because of your camel and dirhams? Both of these are yours.
