Hadith 6512

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي إِِيَاسُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ : أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًَا يُقَالُ لَهُ : بُسْرُ بْنُ رَاعِي الْعِيرِ يَأْكُلُ بِشِمَالِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ " ، قَالَ : لا أَسْتَطِيعُ ، قَالَ : " لا اسْتَطَعْتَ " ، قَالَ : فَمَا نَالَتْ يَدُهُ إِِلَى فِيهِ بَعْدُ .
Iyas bin Salamah bin Akwa narrates: My father narrated this hadith to me. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) saw a man whose name was Busar bin Ra’i al-‘Ir. He was eating with his left hand. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: Eat with your right hand. He said: I cannot do it. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: You will not be able to do it. The narrator says: After that, his (right hand) never reached his mouth again.
