Hadith 6483

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " رُبَّ أَشْعَثَ ذِي طِمْرَيْنِ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لأَبَرَّهُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "There are some people with disheveled hair and old clothes, that if they swear by Allah's name, Allah Almighty will fulfill it for them."
