Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “On the Day of Resurrection, every prophet will have a pulpit of light, and I will be on the highest and most radiant pulpit. Then a caller will come and announce: Where are the unlettered prophets? The prophets will reply: Each of us is an unlettered prophet. Who among us has been called? He will return a second time and ask: Where is the unlettered Arab prophet? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sayyiduna Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will descend from the pulpit and come to the door of Paradise and knock on it. The gatekeeper will ask from inside: Who is it? You will reply: Muhammad (the narrator is unsure, perhaps these are the words) Ahmad. It will be asked: Has he been called? They will reply: Yes. Then the door will be opened for him. He will enter, and his Lord will manifest Himself before him. Never before has the Lord manifested Himself to any other prophet. Then he will fall into prostration before Allah, and will praise Allah with such words that no one before him nor after him will have praised Allah with those words. It will be said to him: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), raise your head, speak and you will be heard, intercede and it will be accepted, ask and it will be granted. He will say: O my Lord, my ummah, my ummah. Then it will be said to him: Take out from (Hell) every person who has faith in his heart equal to the weight of a barley grain. Then he will return and fall into prostration before Allah, and will praise Allah with such words that no one before him has praised Allah with those words, nor will anyone after him. Then it will be said to him: Muhammad, raise your head, speak and you will be heard, intercede and it will be accepted, ask and it will be granted. Then it will be said to him: Take out from Hell every person who has faith in his heart equal to the weight of a wheat grain. Then he will come a third time and fall into prostration before Allah, and will praise Allah with such words that no one before him has praised Allah with those words, nor will anyone after him. Then it will be said to him: Take out from Hell every person who has faith in his heart equal to the weight of a mustard seed. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will return and fall into prostration, and will praise Allah with such words that no one before him has praised Allah with those words, nor will anyone after him. Then it will be said to him: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), raise your head, speak and you will be heard, intercede and it will be accepted, ask and it will be granted. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will say: O my Lord, whoever has said La ilaha illallah (there is no god but Allah) (let him also be ordered to come out of Hell). Then it will be said to him: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), you have no concern with this; this is exclusively for Me, and today I Myself will reward for it.”
