Hadith 6472

أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى الْقَطَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ ، فَإِِذَا أَنَا بِنَهَرٍ حَافَّتَاهُ مِنَ اللُّؤْلُؤِ ، فَضَرَبْتُ بِيَدِي مَجْرَى الْمَاءِ ، فَإِِذَا مِسْكٌ أَذْفَرُ ، فَقُلْتُ : يَا جِبْرِيلُ ، مَا هَذَا ؟ قَالَ : هَذَا الْكَوْثَرُ أَعْطَاكَهُ اللَّهُ ، أَوْ أَعْطَاكَ رَبُّكَ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I entered Paradise and there was a river there. Its banks were made of pearls. I struck my hand on the flow of its water and its fragrance was like musk. I said: O Jibril, what is this? He replied: This is the Kawthar which Allah the Exalted has granted you (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words): that is, your Lord has granted you."
