Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I will stand by my Hawd (cistern) and drive some people away from it. I will strike them with my staff so that they move back." The narrator states: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the width of this Hawd, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is from my place here to (the distance of) Oman. The distance between the two is about a month’s journey or a little less." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the drink of this Hawd, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It will be whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. It will have two channels through which water will come from Paradise. One of them will be made of pearl and the other of gold."
