Hadith 6453

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِِنَّ أَمَامَكُمْ حَوْضًا كَمَا بَيْنَ جَرْبَاءَ وَأَذْرُحَ " ، قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : الْمَسَافَةُ بَيْنَ جَرْبَاءَ وَأَذْرُحَ ، كَمَا بَيْنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَعَمَّانَ ، وَمَكَّةَ وَأَيْلَةَ ، وَصَنْعَاءَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ ، وَصَنْعَاءَ وَبُصْرَى سَوَاءً ، مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَكُونَ بَيْنَ هَذِهِ الأَخْبَارِ تَضَادٌّ ، أَوْ تَهَاتِرٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Ahead of you (on the Day of Resurrection) there will be a cistern as large as the distance between Jarba and Adhrah." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) The distance between Jarba and Adhrah is as much as between Madinah and Oman, or between Makkah and Aylah, or between Sana'a and Madinah, or between Sana'a and Busra, so in this regard there is no contradiction or difference in these narrations.
