Hadith 6442

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو : إِِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لَمْ يَكُنْ فَاحِشًا ، وَلا مُتَفَحِّشًا ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ : " خِيَارُكُمْ أَحَاسِنُكُمْ أَخْلاقًا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was neither foul-mouthed nor ill-mannered. He (peace be upon him) used to say: The best among you are those who have the best character.
