Hadith 6400

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ الشَّهِيدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الأَشْجَعِيِّ ، عَنْ رِبْعِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فُضِّلْتُ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِثَلاثٍ : جُعِلَتْ لَنَا الأَرْضُ كُلُّهَا مَسْجِدًا ، وَجُعِلَ تُرَابُهَا لَنَا طَهُورًا إِِذَا لَمْ نَجِدِ الْمَاءَ ، وَجُعِلَتْ صُفُوفُنَا كَصُفُوفِ الْمَلائِكَةِ ، وَأُوتِيتُ هَؤُلاءِ الآيَاتِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مِنْ كَنْزٍ تَحْتَ الْعَرْشِ لَمْ يُعْطَ مِثْلَهُ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي وَلا أَحَدٌ بَعْدِي " .
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been given superiority over people in three respects. The entire earth has been made a place of prayer for us, and its soil has been made a means of purification for us when we do not find water. Our rows (in prayer) have been made like the rows of angels. And I have been given the last verses of Surah Al-Baqarah from the treasure beneath the Throne; such verses have not been given to anyone before me nor will they be given to anyone after me."
