Hadith 640

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْجَوْزَجَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلا ، قَالَ : " وَعِزَّتِي لا أَجْمَعُ عَلَى عَبْدِي خَوْفَيْنِ وَأَمْنَيْنِ ، إِذَا خَافَنِي فِي الدُّنْيَا أَمَّنْتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَإِذَا أَمِنَنِي فِي الدُّنْيَا أَخَفْتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that Allah Almighty says: "By My Honor, I will not combine two kinds of fear and two kinds of security for My servant. If he fears Me in the world, I will grant him security on the Day of Resurrection, and if he feels secure from Me in the world, I will subject him to fear on the Day of Resurrection."
