Hadith 6398

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَرْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مَعْبَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ سَيَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ الْفَقِيرُ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أُعْطِيتُ خَمْسًا لَمْ يُعْطَهُنَّ أَحَدٌ قَبْلِي : نُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ ، وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا ، وَأَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَدْرَكَتْهُ الصَّلاةُ فَلْيُصَلِّ ، وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ ، وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لأَحَدٍ قَبْلِي ، وَأُعْطِيتُ الشَّفَاعَةَ ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ يُبْعَثُ إِِلَى قَوْمِهِ خَاصَّةً ، وَبُعِثْتُ إِِلَى النَّاسِ عَامَّةً " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I have been given five things which were not given to anyone before me. I have been helped by awe (cast into the hearts of my enemies) from a distance of one month’s journey. The entire earth has been made a place of prayer and a means of purification for me. So, any member of my Ummah who finds the time for prayer should pray wherever he is. The spoils of war have been made lawful for me, which were not made lawful for anyone before me. I have been granted intercession. Every prophet was sent exclusively to his own people, but I have been sent to all mankind.”
