Hadith 6397

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يَسْدُلُ عِمَامَتَهُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ " ، وَأَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ : وَرَأَيْتُ الْقَاسِمَ ، وَسَالِمًا يَفْعَلانِ ذَلِكَ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to let the end of his turban hang between his two shoulders. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to do the same. Ubaidullah bin Umar narrates: I have also seen Qasim and Salim doing the same.
