Hadith 6363

أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " بُعِثْتُ بِجَوَامِعِ الْكَلِمِ ، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ ، وَبَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ أُتِيتُ بِمَفَاتِيحِ خَزَائِنِ الأَرْضِ ، فَوُضِعَتْ فِي يَدَيَّ " ، قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : فَذَهَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَنْتُمْ تَنْتَثِلُونَهَا .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I have been sent with concise speech." With another chain of narration, it is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I have been sent with concise speech." I have been helped. Once, while I was asleep, the keys to the treasures of the earth were brought to me and placed in my hand. Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has departed (from this world) and you people are acquiring those things.
