Hadith 6359

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لَمْ يُجْمَعْ لَهُ غِذَاءٌ ، وَلا عِشَاءٌ مِنْ خُبْزٍ وَلَحْمٍ إِِلا عَلَى ضَفَفٍ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Bread and meat were never combined together on the dining mat of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for the morning and evening meals, except in the case when he was eating with other people.
