أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ الْعَطَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ : " مَا أَصْبَحَ فِي آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَاعُ بُرٍّ وَلا صَاعُ تَمْرٍ " ، وَإِِنَّ لَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ تِسْعَ نِسْوَةٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Today) there is neither a sa’ of wheat nor a sa’ of dates in the house of Muhammad. The narrator says: At that time, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) had nine wives.
