Hadith 6341

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " مَا يَجِدُ مِنَ الدَّقَلِ مَا يَمْلأُ بَطْنَهُ ، وَهُوَ جَائِعٌ " .
Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was hungry, even such light types of dates were not available to him in sufficient quantity that he could fill his stomach.
