Hadith 6340

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ، قَالَ : " أَلَسْتُمْ فِي طَعَامٍ وَشَرَابٍ مَا شِئْتُمْ ؟ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَا يَجِدُ مِنَ الدَّقَلِ مَا يَمْلأُ بِهِ بَطْنَهُ " .
Sayyiduna Nu'man bin Bashir says: Do you people not eat various kinds of foods and drink as you wish today? Whereas I have seen the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that even light types of dates were not available to him in such quantity that he could fill his stomach with them.
