Hadith 6312

أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " إِِذَا خَرَجُوا مَعَهُ ، مَشَوْا أَمَامَهُ ، وَتَرَكُوا ظَهْرَهُ لِلْمَلائِكَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: When the companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would go somewhere with him, they used to walk ahead of him and would leave the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) back for the angels.
