Hadith 6292

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : هَلْ شَابَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ؟ ، قَالَ : " مَا شَانَهُ اللَّهُ بِشَيْبٍ ، مَا كَانَ فِي رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ سِوَى سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ أَوْ ثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ شَعْرَةً " .
Thabit narrates: People asked Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) have white hair? He replied: Allah Almighty did not make him appear old through white hair. There were not more than 17 or 18 white hairs in his blessed head and beard.
