Hadith 628

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ ثَوْبَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَقْبَلُ تَوْبَةَ الْعَبْدِ مَا لَمْ يُغَرْغِرْ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, Allah Almighty accepts the servant's repentance as long as the throes of death have not overtaken him."
