Hadith 6278

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ فِي الْغَارِ لَوْ أَرَادَ أَحَدُهُمْ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِِلَى قَدَمَيْهِ لأَبْصَرَنَا تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ ، فَقَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا ظَنُّكَ بِاثْنَيْنِ اللَّهُ ثَالِثُهُمَا ؟ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) informed those people, "When we were in the cave, I said to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), 'If any one of them looks down towards his feet, he will see us beneath his feet.' The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'What do you think about two men whose third is Allah, the Exalted?'"
