Hadith 6269

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِِسْمَاعِيلَ الطَّالْقَانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبِي مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَمِّيَ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ بْنِ مُوسَى ، يَقُولُ : حَدَّثَنَا رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي أَبِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ : أَيْ بُنَيَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ أَهَانَ قُرَيْشًا ، أَهَانَهُ اللَّهُ " .
Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani’s (may Allah be pleased with him) son, Amr, narrates: Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: O my son, if you ever become responsible for any matter of the Muslims (i.e., government or official position), then honor the Quraysh, because I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say this: “Whoever dishonors the Quraysh, Allah Almighty will make him suffer humiliation.”
