Hadith 6258

أَخْبَرَنَا شَبَابُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ بِوَاسِطٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّ أُمَّةً مِنْ بَنِي إِِسْرَائِيلَ فُقِدَتْ لا يُدْرَى مَا فَعَلَتْ ، وَلا أُرَاهَا إِِلا الْفَأْرَ ، أَلا تَرَاهَا إِِذَا وَجَدْتَ أَلْبَانَ الإِِبِلِ ، لَمْ تَشْرَبْهُ ، وَإِِذَا وَجَدْتَ أَلْبَانَ الْغَنَمِ ، شَرِبَتْهُ ؟ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A group from the Children of Israel went missing; it is not known what became of them. I think they turned into mice. Have you not seen that when it finds camel's milk, it does not drink it, and when it finds goat's milk, it drinks it?"
