Sayyiduna Abu Namla (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Once he was sitting with the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). During that time, a Jew came and said: "Will this deceased person speak?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Allah knows best." The Jew said: "I bear witness that it does speak." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever the People of the Book tell you, neither confirm it nor deny it." The people said: "We believe in Allah and His angels and His books and His messengers. If this statement is true, you will not deny it, and if it is false, you will not confirm it." The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah destroy the Jews; knowledge was given to them, but (still they went astray)."
